I’m a British national living in New Zealand as a Permanent Resident, with a life shaped by global experience. I went to school in both the Netherlands and England, and earned my Master’s Degree with Honours in Mechanical Engineering from Bristol University, including study at the University of Hannover in Germany. I’ve lived in ten countries—Netherlands, England, Germany, Thailand, Scotland, Nigeria, Qatar, Austria, Indonesia, and now New Zealand—each adding depth to my perspective and adaptability.

Family & Lifestyle

I’m married with two wonderful children—a boy and a girl—and we love exploring the world together. Whether skiing and snowboarding in the mountains, cycling scenic trails, or enjoying golf and hockey, I find joy in movement, nature, and shared experiences. I’m also an avid reader and lifelong learner, always curious about new ideas and experiences.

Professional Career

I began my career in 1996 with Shell International Exploration and Production as a Production & Maintenance Engineer. Over the years, I progressed through a range of technical and leadership roles across multiple disciplines and countries, with a core focus on production optimisation. My work has spanned four different companies across nine countries, where I’ve led teams, improved operational performance, and delivered results in complex upstream oil and gas environments.

In addition to technical leadership, I’ve played key roles in the acquisition and divestment of oil and gas assets, as well as the execution of large-scale capital projects. This blend of engineering depth, commercial insight, and global experience has shaped a career defined by adaptability, strategic thinking, and a commitment to operational excellence.

Property Investment

II began investing in property in 2011 with the purchase of three new-build homes, laying the foundation for a long-term, strategic portfolio. Since then, I’ve grown my holdings to nine rental properties across the North Island of New Zealand—including Auckland, Hamilton, New Plymouth, Rotorua, and Wellington.

My journey has evolved beyond buy-and-hold investing to include joint venture partnerships, house flips, and completed developments. Each project reflects a hands-on approach, a focus on value creation, and a commitment to building assets that serve both financial goals and community impact

Future Entrepreneurial Plans

I’m focused on expanding my investment journey—continuing to grow my property portfolio while acquiring businesses in property-related, industrial, manufacturing, and fabrication sectors. Each venture is chosen not just for its commercial potential, but for its ability to create meaningful impact.

My goal is to build enduring value—for my family, for the teams I lead, and for the communities these businesses serve. I believe in investing with purpose, leading with integrity, and leaving behind more than just financial returns.
